Today the Prince City is the city campus of Guangxi Normal University. Still, it is open to the public. While most of the buildings have been restored after the Second World War, it is still possible to get a feeling of imperial China when going through the meter-thick outer city wall towards the inner palace gate. Inside the campus there are often performances, exhibitions and other events.
In the middle of the Prince City is Solitary Beauty Peak. From the top you have (if you are lucky and the day is clear) an excellent view over Guilin City and the Li River. Over the Mountain are several Pavillions and a small cave.
